mutt

mutt is a useful mail user agent. However, it requires a functioning mail transfer agent running on the localhost for it to be able to work easily.

since the default ubuntu install doesn't include an MTA, you can't easily install mutt.

However, we probably want to have an MTA installed for other reasons. once that's installed, installing mutt should be as simple as:

sudo apt-get install mutt
