| | 26 | Title: Inhomogeneous Mixing in Dwarf Galaxies |
| | 27 | |
| | 28 | Spectroscopy of stars in nearby galaxies has become routine in the past |
| | 29 | decade with the 8-10 meter class telescopes and high efficiency |
| | 30 | spectrographs. Large datasets of medium resolution spectroscopy have |
| | 31 | provided detailed studies of the metallicity and dynamical distributions |
| | 32 | of the stars in the Local Group dwarf galaxies. Follow up high resolution |
| | 33 | spectroscopy has been used to track the origins and chemical evolution of |
| | 34 | these systems. Inhomogeneous mixing appears to be indicated in the low |
| | 35 | mass classical dwarfs, but may be indicated throughout these systems, |
| | 36 | including at early times where these conditions would affect our |
| | 37 | understanding of the proto-galactic fragments that dominate hierarchical |
| | 38 | merging theories. |
