Exoplanets Everywhere!

According to the most recent results from Kepler and other surveys, exoplanets are everywhere in the Milky Way Galaxy, and likely the entire Universe. But how close are we to finding another Earth or to answering the eternal question: are we alone in the Universe? I will explain how we came to understand the ubiquity of exoplanets, describe the complexity of the current census, and foreshadow what discoveries likely lie ahead in the coming years.
