Galactic Planet Hunting
The first planet outside of our Solar System was discovered less than 20 years ago. Since then we have detected over 400 planets orbiting other stars in the Milky Way using both ground and space based telescopes. I will explain the physics and technology that has enabled us to locate these other worlds and what else we hope to learn about them.
