A Brief History of Black Holes

Did you know that the black hole was first imagined hundreds of years ago? In this presentation, I'll review the basic physics behind the object "whose gravitational pull is so strong, not even light can escape." We'll examine the changes in the theoretical understanding of black holes through history and the observations that led to their confirmation. In the end, black holes are more like regular stars than was ever expected!
