    26 Faculty and Students: If you have a visitor coming for a given week this semester who would like to speak, please contact the person in charge for that month (Oct. is organized by Paul Bryans, bryans @ astro . columbia . edu)

    28 Speakers: We aim for informal talks about 20 minutes in length. We find that information overload and pages of equations tend to give indigestion to some, so please keep this in mind when preparing your talk.

    30 Also, it is possible (in fact, preferred) to have multiple people give talks for a given pizza lunch.  Please do not hesitate to suggest a second/third/Nth speaker for a given pizza lunch date.
     42If you have a paper you would like to discuss, please add it to the wiki with a link so that people can download a copy beforehand. While reading the papers beforehand is encouraged, many people find they enjoy coming even without doing so. We have in the past done as many as five papers in one meeting, but at least two per week is our goal. We also encourage exciting, late-breaking submissions from astro-ph. Bragging rights are given for the most interesting paper mentioned at each journal club.
