Epoch of Reionization and other science with the MWA
The Murchison Widefield Array (MWA) is a new low frequency observatory currently under construction in the Western Australian desert. The MWA features a very wide field of view and precision calibration optimized for detecting the faint 21 cm Epoch of Reionization power spectrum. In this talk, I will review design and status of the MWA, and describe the observational signatures of the Epoch of Reionization and how they can be used to extract the faint 21 cm emission from the very large foreground signals.
