Going out in style: Nebulae at the end of a sun-like star’s life
Sun-like stars undergo irreversible changes in their lifetime that ultimately lead to their demise. They eject enriched stellar material into their surroundings and these ejecta often lead to the beautiful and iconic nebula we observe today. The details of the shapes and structures we in these nebula can provide clues to help us determine if our sun will go out in a similar fashion.
