"The Cosmic Origins of the Chemicals of Life"

It has taken the Universe billions of years to forge the elements on the periodic table. In the first three minutes the Big Bang created essentially all of the hydrogen and helium in the Cosmos. But is is stars which forged the rest of the elements, including those necessary for life. Then chemistry put them together. Join me as I describe this chemical pathway towards life and our laboratory studies simulating the cosmic origins of organic chemistry.
