Science vs. Fiction in Science Fiction

Wormholes, teleportation, time travel, superluminal spaceships, force fields - these all feature prominently in works of science fiction. Which of these phenomena are theoretically impossible within the current paradigm, and which are just beyond our current technological grasp? Where does the science end and the fiction begin? In addition to these questions, we will view video clips representative of common mistakes made in science fiction and talk about how to view "sci-fi" with a critical eye while still enjoying the thought provoking stories it presents.
