     28The university provides on-line course evaluations that can be used in lieu of an in-class paper evaluation. The evaluations are all administered through [https://courseworks.columbia.edu/ CourseWorks] which can also be used to get the roster and pictures of the lab students, facilitate e-mail communication, and even institute novel learning activities such as discussions boards and on-line quizzes.
