    5 Each group/individual is responsible for their own software license purchases (with the except of IDL, for which we have a site license).  In general, a license is good for one machine (although most allow for a second instillation on for example a home machine).  The media (CD's) for installing the software are typically purchased separately from the license and can be used repeatedly and shared (in some cases files can also be downloaded from the web).
